I studied for a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing and when I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018, I joined the Axe Valley team straight away. My favourite role in practice is ‘Ward Nurse’ because it can be very busy, and I like the challenge of maintaining a high standard of patient management and care. I also have a strong interest in exotic animals and get involved with these patients whenever I get the opportunity. I love radiology and you will often find me in the x-ray room analysing x-rays; I use this skill almost every day because I also manage our orthopaedic surgeries. This involves preparing all the surgical kits, client communication and making sure the surgeons have everything they need for a successful surgery. I love seeing a successful cruciate surgery patient walk out to their owner after their big day, knowing that I contributed to the great outcome for the animal!
